Where? St. Michael’s Church Hall, 5th & Victoria
Why? Expand your circle of friends (we have 65-75 members), perhaps find the love of your life (a couple that met at choir are now happily married!), and most of all sing a wide range of music from classical to folk; contemporary to gospel.

CHORFEST 2011 - O is for Opera!
The Prince George Cantata Singers will be the host choir for Chorfest 2011, a province-wide BC Choral Federation conference for choral singers, next May 20-22. This event typically attracts 150-200 choristers from around the province.
The theme Chorfest 2011 will be OPERA CHORUSES. Our clinician will be Les Dala, Music Director & Conductor of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. Based in Vancouver, Les is also the new Conductor of the Vancouver Bach choir and the Chorus Director of the Vancouver Opera. The PGSO will be featured in the May 22 Gala concert. The weekend consists of a reception at the Two Rivers Gallery, rehearsals, workshops, and a concert in the Prince George Civic Centre which will be open to the public. The tentative program list includes pieces from the following works: Aida, Earth Songs, Faust, Il Trovatore, Macbeth, Madame Butterfly, Nabucco, Pagliacci, and Tannhauser.
